Helis Brain – Summer 2012: Where It All Began

Summer 2012.
There was sunshine, there was heat, and there was that energy you only feel when you are about to do something new, something big – even if you don’t know it yet. That is when the Helis Brain adventure truly began. That first photo shoot was an incredible mix of emotions: excitement, fear, inexperience, but also an irrepressible desire to create something that truly represented us.

We were a small group, almost a family. On set nobody quite knew what to do, but we all had an enormous desire to try. There were no huge budgets, no glossy professionals. There was us: with our passion, our ideas, and eyes full of dreams.

Most of the models were friends, real women with natural, everyday figures. Just like my clients. And that is where the identity of Helis Brain was born: from that beautiful, authentic normality that needs no retouching to be special.
I wanted to tell the story of a real femininity, close, imperfect and, for this very reason, unique.

I often think back to that day. To the laughter, the mishaps, the endless rushing to change outfits on the fly or find the right light. None of us knew exactly what we were doing, but we all believed it was only the beginning of something important. And we were right.

Today, looking back at those images, I see how far we have come, but also the same essence that has never changed: the heart. Because Helis Brain was born this way – with heart – and it continues to grow with the same spirit today.
